What’s my word?
This is a story that Sara told Tom while we were eating potatoes at eight o’clock.
Last week I bought a computer from a French man who was living in Australia.
The nurse was sitting in a beautiful garden, studying English with a friend.
This is a fun speaking and writing activity which works well with teens and adults. Give each person between 1 and 3 words written on cards and explain that they have to use these words in a sentence or short story. Remind them that when the other students hear the story, they’ll have to guess which words were written on the cards and encourage them to make it interesting and difficult.
Award points to the students who guess the words correctly and also give points to the students telling the story if words are guessed incorrectly.
