I agree with all of the above, Steve…though I assume the “moderate measure of alcohol” comes at the end of the working day as a reward, rather than at the start as a “Please, help me get through this” tipple!

    1 a lack of shame
    2 Google images
3 an ability to make light chat out of breakfast habits, your weekend, a new haircut and ‘my favourite pizza’, no matter how trivial or uninteresting to everyone else.
    4 my little blue book
    5 colleagues and friends
6 my Universal Theory of The English Language

Thanks for your comment, Shaun. I’ve yet to venture into the world of moodle, though I’ve heard nothing but good things about it…it’s on my list of things to do 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, Japglish. I think those of us in the profession who have understanding bosses are very fortunate. There are too many bosses who are in it for the money and have little time for their staff or students…unfortunately such an attitude doesn’t inspire their staff, which ultimately affects the students.

Ha ha! Thanks, Ceri 🙂 I’m seeing some recurring images in the comments…coffee, technology, colleagues (and the all-important students – heck, that’s why we’re ther!)
