21

21Here’s a great game to practise numbers: Students stand in a circle and take it in turns to say numbers – if you say one number, play passes to the next person; two numbers and the game changes direction; three numbers and it skips the next person.  The person who says 21 is eliminated.

It all gets a bit confusing when there are only two people left though, so at that point they  take it in turns and can say 1, 2 or 3 numbers.

You can also use it to practise the alphabet, with the person who says Z being eliminated.

    sgood this game.

I’ve made it so the person who says 21 gets to change a number for a word in the next round. e.g 12 = brother. it adds nicely to the thinking involved. Would make a good drinking game too I reckon Treza. maybe we should try that one day. xx
