Wordy Wednesday #5
Well, sticking with the football fever which has taken over all other topics of conversation at the moment, this week’s Wordy Wednesday is a chance to get your thesaurus out and find some worthy synonyms.
What one adjective would you use to describe the World Cup so far? It can either be a global impression, or a description of a particular team, or even a particular moment in a certain match…the choice is yours!
My World Cup Wordy Wednesday Word is “missionary” – so I’m not exactly on a religious expedition to watch the World Cup, but my experience of the World Cup today is that it was a mission to manage to watch the Slovenia-England match! Late buses, closed bars and a dash through town in the sweltering Andalucian afternoon heat makes me think that my partner and I earned England’s win!

One word “Exit”, as in where do I find the…I’m not a football fan and don’t really see the big fuss but I’m glad people are happy and enthused about something. However it would be even better if I could escape
