A vocab game for the memory and mind!

Another gem from the TESOL-SPAIN convention today, this time from David Gatrell.
Explain to the students that you’re going to give them a list of words and then they have to remember as many as possible in pairs.  The words David used are on the right.
When they have written as many as they can remember, get feedback from the students and tell them to write down any they’re missing.
Next, explain that these words can be split into groups of three and give the students time to work out what the groups are and why.
If they find it difficult, you could give them one word from each group.
Do you know how to divide these words into six groups of three?  And why?
