Feeling pensive…
My severe lack of blogging of late disturbs me somewhat. I keep thinking about blogging on the way to the bus stop and chastizing myself for not having written anything for the past month and then I start to wonder why I haven’t written anything. As much as I keep making excuses (I’ve been very busy recently, I had backtoschoolitis for a week, I’ve been trying to avoid working at the weekend), part of me still worries that I don’t have anything to write about and that I’m getting stuck in a rut of doing my lessons without actually trying anything new.
So, my new month resolution – after exams this week – is to try something new. And then hopefully I’ll have something to say about it!
I feel like this often. Sometimes there are other things going on in life that require the same energy that normally goes to blogging! Here are a few blog entries that helped me feel like I had ideas again after one of those spells…
1. Introduction to blogging for newbies, part 1-3 (scroll to the first set of links): http://www.yearinthelifeofanenglishteacher.com/2012/01/the-race-is-on-in-the-elt-blogathon/
2. 12 Inspirations for New Years!: http://authenticteaching.wordpress.com/2012/01/01/12-inspirations-for-a-new-years-teacher/

Good luck 🙂
Oooh, thanks for those Bekah. One of my colleagues posted the 12 Inspirations post on our online staffroom, but the other two I hadn’t read. It’s nice to know that other people feel the strain of getting back into blogging and advice and hints are always useful and very welcome!
