True or False cards

T-F cardsOK, another new craze this term are my True or False cards – one of the cheapest and most versatile resources ever!

Give each student two pieces of card: one blue and one red.  Then tell them something about yourself and they have to decide whether they think the sentence is TRUE (holding up the blue card) or FALSE (holding up the red card).  Then get the students to say things about themselves.

You can also use them in grammar activity to check if a sentence is correctly written or use them for correction of homework activities.  This way you can gauge how well the class has understood the activity as you’ll be able to see how many of them got the answer right and they won’t feel so “on the spot” as they would if just one person had to give an answer.

This is a great idea! I love easy, ready-to-use ideas. Also, with our class sizes growing so much, I am always looking for ways to quickly assess learning without having to correct homework!
